After Today I...

Will be trading this

For this

And this

For this

And no more of any of these or anything like them

Because I will be training for this...

(maybe not this specific one, I'm still looking around for one I like.)

I am very excited and determined to do this. For me, being married and being a mommy is difficult on my body. I don't get out and play sports or dance anymore. I needed to come up with something to break these very unhealthy habits. I've always thought running marathons would be cool. Never thought I'd actually run one. But I'm GOING to! I'm still trying to find a marathon I want to run. The one I posted above would be fun...but being out of shape, I don't think I'll be ready in time...I'll start with a half marathon and work my way up! I am going to do this! I have to!

Wish me luck!!

Mormon Prom

What? Old married people can go?! OK! We're there! Friday night Tanner and I went to a prom with my sister Hilary and her friend Grant. I guess Grant is a friend too...I used to babysit him...weird! Anyway, for dinner we went to Peter Piper Pizza. Then to the dance! It was a lot of fun, but we were super tired. I guess having a baby does that. It was kind of a bummer. Oh well I guess. Thanks Hilary and Grant for coming with us!

Busy Busy Busy...

Or I just don't have a nice daily routine so I'm just kind of all over the place right now. I have still been cooking dinners...just haven't taken pictures or posted...but I am trying to figure out a routine and once that is accomplished hopefully I'll be able to post again. For now I wanted to post a link to where I get my meal planning chart from. It's free and you just print it off. Pretty cool!

I'm still here and still cooking!

Ok so I've gotten busy and haven't posted! BUT I'm still cooking yummy dinners! Saturday and Sunday nights I forgot to take pictures. They were easy to make and very yummy.

On Saturday I cooked Cheesy Stake Sandwiches. There was a recipe but it was easier to NOT follow it : ) What I did was cut the raw stake into small strips, salt and peppered the strips and then cooked them in a skillet. After they were cooked how I liked, I placed cheese on top and placed it all on a hoagie-style bun. Oh ya, I also sauteed onions and had those too!

On Sunday night I cooked French Onion Burgers. If you buy a can of Campbell's French Onion Soup, the recipe is on the back of that. BUT I'll go ahead and post it here. What you do is make your burger patties and cook them just so the top and bottom are brown. You then take the burgers out of the skillet. Poor off fat. Poor the french onion soup into the skillet and bring to a boil. After boiling return the burgers and cook, covered, for 10 minutes (or until no longer pink) on low heat. Take the burgers out and place on buns. Add your favorite kind of cheese. The remaining soup in the skillet use as dipping sauce for the burgers. Pretty simple!

And now on to last night's dinner! Broccoli Chicken Potato Parmesan Yummy! Here is the recipe!

2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 pound red potatoes, sliced 1/4 inch thick (I didn't have red potatoes so I just used brown)
1 package (about 10 ounces) refrigerated cooked chicken strips (didn't want to buy this so I just cooked my own chicken first and then sliced it up)
2 cups fresh or frozen broccoli flowerets
1 can Campbell's Broccoli Cheese Soup
1/2 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Heat oil in skillet. Add potatoes. Cover and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Stir in chicken and broccoli. (After eating this meal, Tanner suggested steaming the broccoli first a little. It was kind of crunchy.)

Mix in soup, milk and garlic. Add to skillet. Sprinkle with cheese. Heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 5 minutes or until done.

Enjoy!

Shooting!!

Well, sorry to disappoint you all, BUT Tanner and I went out on a date last night so I did not cook dinner! Bummer I know! It was really fun to ditch Kendal and go out to dinner alone! It was a lot of fun! Question....we NEED date ideas! Something inexpensive and FUN! Any suggestions!!! You'd think after being married for 2 years (almost) we'd know how to date...but we don't! HELP!
Anyway, this morning we met up with some old friend's and went shooting! Here are some pictures of all the action. We went with Corey, Amy and Casey. Casey is a brother to Corey so I guess he's a friend too : ) Just messing Casey you are a friend!!
