Tuesday's with Kendal Week 5

Yes, yes I know that I missed week 4. I have a good reason....kind of : ) Kendal had a really bad heat rash on her face...yes I know I still should have taken some, but then I kind of forgot. Oops! But last week I wanted to do Daddy Daughter photos so I will do two sessions this week. I did, however take some pictures of just Kendal for her 5 weeks. But before I post those...Kendal is still a sweet little baby. Although, she has found out how to scream a little. But she only really gets screamy and fussy when she is tired. She is also learning how to smile. On Friday night we went and hung out with Cory and Amy. When I took Kendal out of her carseat I put her on the couch as if she was sitting. Cory came up to her and said, "well don't you look cute!" And what do you know a big old grin. She was flirting! She smiled another couple times then blew up her diaper haha That next morning, Saturday, I went to Fry's to get some milk so Tanner stayed up with her. I cam home and he told me that he was singing to her and she was smiling like crazy at him. She really loves Daddy. When he comes home he hurries to hold her. He makes all these really, and I mean really, silly faces and noises at her and she just sits and stares at him. Sometimes she wrinkles her eyebrows as if to say, "you're weird Daddy!" Just kidding, but she really does wrinkle her brows. It is so fun to watch her as she grows! She's talking a little too. Tanner, on Friday, went to the farm for a team builder for work. (Some compition they had?) Anyway, he bought Kendal a cd full of farm animal songs, Old McDonald and such. Kendal will just sit and listen to the songs and sometimes I hear her talking back. It's too cute!

Funny story...Tanner and I want to get back into shape, so we've started walking. Monday night was our first night. It had been overcast all afternoon, but no rain. We went anyway. We walked for about 2 miles!! YAY for us! : ) We were about a 1/4 mile or so away from home when we felt sprinkles. So we started to walk a little faster. Tanner turns around and sees, in the street light behind us, the rain coming down really hard. Then we start to hear it behind us. OH MY GOSH!! It chased us for a little while, then we started to run, more like sprint haha. Soon, the sky just opened up on us and got us good! By the time we got home the parking lot was already starting to flood. Poor little Kendal! She didn't get too wet, just her head. But Tanner and I were soaked!! It was a lot of fun!

Well here are a few pictures from week 5. The little stinker got tired so she got fussy. Got a few with her eyes open. I'll try again tonight when she's awake! Enjoy!

Starting to get sleepy...

This is where she gets fussy...

Mommy, stop taking pictures...

Please??

Ok I asked nicely, Now stop!!

haha binkeys fix everything : )

See...I only got a few! Try number 2...tonight!

Grandma Toone and Baby Kendal

On August 14th my little brother turned 8! He is getting so big! For his birthday we went over to my parent's house for dinner and cake. While we were there, Grandma was playing with Kendal. Kendal was sitting on Grandma's lap and Grandma would take Kendal's arms up above her head and say "so big" Everytime Grandma would do this, Kendal's little mouth would open. They were playing for quite a while and then Kendal got sick of it.

Tuesdays With Kendal 3 Weeks!!

I am loving every minute of being a mommy!! Besides being pooped on and barfed all over, it's GREAT! : ) Kendal hasn't changed too much yet. Still sleeps a lot. She's becoming a little more vocal now, only because she has gas. No fun for her! She hates the hiccups! She'll start to fuss a little when she has them but as soon as she goes to cry, she hiccups and stops crying. After awhile she gets pretty annoyed. It's really cute to watch! Tanner and I are both doing well. I'm starting to realize that every day chores become harder after having a baby. Kendal loves to be held and won't sleep in her bassinet. She'll sleep anywhere else but there! Goofball!!

Here are her 3 week shots I took! Enjoy!

Ballet Shoes
Just playing around. Not sure which one I like best.

Tuesdays With Kendal

In my last post I mentioned how every Tuesday I am going to take pictures of Kendal. (Tuesdays because she was born on a Tuesday : ) Here are some pictures from her two weeks. Enjoy!

Her sneeze...she tucks her legs up tight to her bottom and her hands fly up in the air hitting her head. SOO CUTE!

Two weeks...

It's already been two weeks!! I cannot believe how fast time has gone! Kendal has changed soo much! She is still a great baby and hardly cries. When she does cry she lets out a little yell and that's about it. Tanner and I have truly enjoyed having her with us now. She has brought so much love and appreciation into our home. She has such a sweet spirit and makes the cutest little noises! I've learned so much already! Being a mom is such a blessing in my life! I knew I would enjoy every minute of it. Before Kendal was born, I had lots of moms from work or church or just friends who have kids tell me how hard it is and how it's not going to be everything I thought it was. Well, they were wrong! Being a mom is the BOMB! I love it and wouldn't have it any other way. It is everything I thought it would be! Poopy diapers, waking up in the night to feed, some trying days, but most of all FUN! Kendal is honestly a perfect baby. No joke! Hardly cries, doesn't need much. I think that's why it's so easy for me! I love to just sit and hold her and love on her. I feel bad for the Mothers who can't enjoy motherhood like I do. It's the greatest thing that has EVER happened to me!

Anyway, life other than the baby is going well too. Tanner is still working hard. It's been so fun to watch him grow into a daddy. He loves his little girl soo much! Every day he comes home for lunch and hurries to cook and eat his lunch so he can hold Kendal as long as he can before he goes back to work. It's the cutest! He has really changed as a person too. He's so sweet and loving. It's nice. : ) He was very loving before Kendal arrived, but Kendal has soften his heart even more.

Here are some pictures. I'm not very good at blogging yet. But I'll get better. These pictures are from her first week. My mom told me of this lady who had a baby on a Sunday. And now every Sunday for a year she takes pictures. I LOVED the idea and started to do so myself. These pictures are from last Tuesday, 1 week old. I'll take more pictures tomorrow for her 2 weeks! Enjoy!
She always had her hands or her feet infront of her face when she was inside me.
If you look close, you can see where she coughed up some milk. It went everywhere lol
